In 2004 she earned her master\u2019s degree in business administration at the American University of Armenia. She has experience in accounting and human resources management. Mariam has been involved in Socioscope\u2019s activities since 2016. The main scope of her professional interests is\u00a0civic\u00a0movements and contentious politics in Armenia, the history of local social science,\u00a0the interrelations\u00a0of local literature and social science, and the issues of sexuality. In 2016, she completed her Human Rights Advocates Program at Columbia University at the International School of Human Rights. Since 2009 she has been working on protection of the human rights of vulnerable groups in Armenia.
