This comprehensive two-phase study enabled us to identify the disinformation narratives prevalent in public discourse and analyze the specific features of public perception and response to them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first phase of the research we conducted expert interviews with representatives from the media sector and civil society to identify the disinformation narratives circulating in the media, their impact on public attitudes, particularly concerning issues of gender and sexuality, security and democracy, and their interrelations. Additionally, we examined the actors spreading disinformation, along with their interests and motivations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second phase we combined the results of focus group discussions held in various cities and villages across Armenia. This phase allowed us to study the social practices of media consumption among different public segments, their perceptions of disinformation, the principles guiding their responses, and how they combat it.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
