A photo contest followed by an exhibition was carried out by Socioscope in Spring 2011. The contest was organized in the frames of “Raising Awareness on Human Rights and Assistance in Protection of Citizens’ Rights” project supported by the US embassy in Armenia. The aim of this contest was to sensitize the society as well as the state on the country’s human rights issues. In their works, the participating photographs mainly addressed the rights for peaceful assembly, dignified life, freedom from torture, rights of sexual minorities.
