
The article explores the challenges and transformations facing Armenian civil society in the aftermath of the revolution and the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. It centers on the question of whether, under current conditions, civil society has sufficient potential for promoting the public sphere toward social change, social justice and radicalization of democracy.
Drawing on five group discussions, we examine both the potential and the limitations of civil society to overcome social apathy, repair social connections and provide genuine opportunities for public expression and participation, particularly in the run-up to the 2026 parliamentary elections.
